Planned Giving

Planned gifts often make giving larger gifts to Community Country Day School more possible than you may have thought. Through these gifts, your heart to help students will continue to make an impact on our community for generations.

What is Planned Giving

Planned giving (also known as Legacy Giving) provides you an opportunity to give a significant, or major, gift either during your lifetime or at death. It is part of your overall financial or estate planning. In comparison, a gift to the annual fund, is made from your current annual discretionary income. A planned gift often takes advantage of legal, tax or financial products; a charitable donation to the annual fund comes from your current cash flow. Through planned giving, donors are typically able to give a gift larger than they are able to consider using their current cash flow. This allows a more significant impact and a lasting legacy of your generosity.

Types of Planned Gifts

Cash

You can mail or deliver cash or checks made payable to:
Community Country Day School – 5800 Old Zuck Road – Erie, PA 16506

IRA Disbursements

If you are 70 ½+, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Community Country Day School. Please contact your IRA provider for details.

Endowment Gift

Community Country Day School has established the Admiral Charles A. Curtze Endowment through the Erie Community Foundation. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the Endowment interest is used for immediate needs, while the remaining fund continues to be reinvested for ongoing support of CCDS. Endowment gifts provide you the satisfaction of knowing that your legacy will live on in the students you will help for many, many years to come.

Will or Living Trust
Make plans today to assist CCDS tomorrow through a bequest provision in your will or living trust. For example:

“I give to Community Country Day School, a nonprofit currently located at 5800 Old Zuck Road, Erie PA 16506, or its successor thereto, __________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

Beneficiary Designations

You can name Community Country Day School as a charitable beneficiary of your assets, including retirement plans, life insurance policies, donor-advised funds or bank accounts. This is done by completing a form, separate from your will, making this an easy and flexible option that does not require an attorney. Please contact the organization that holds your account (i.e., insurance agent or bank) for instructions.

Please let CCDS know you have included us in your estate planning, so we may express our appreciation and document any specific purposes you would like your gift to be used for.

Donate

Thanks to Friends of CCDS, we can provide students with the support they need and deserve, so they can continue to reach their potential and have the skills to Lead With Love – to lead themselves, others and their communities.

Will you consider financially supporting our students' futures?
